Today I just wanted to share my experience of upgrading the RAM of my gaming laptop, the XPS M1710 from DELL.
I’ve been wondering if it would be worth changing my 2x1GB of RAM for 2x2GB. Would I run applications faster? Do I really need those extra 2GB of RAM? I searched the web for some signs of wisdom which could lead me to the right path. Well, it was very insightful and I got the idea that yes, it is worth it.
Blizzard has now opened the Opt-In for the Wrath of the Lich King Expansion Beta. You just need to go to your account management screen and choose “Wrath of the Lich King Beta Opt-In” option in the bottom of the page.
Opting in doesn’t mean you are going to be able to play the beta, but you will be added to a list of potential beta testers. After that you just need to wait until Blizzard releases the beta.
Billy Mitchell of Hollywood, Florida, has finally reached the end of the game without loosing a single life. wow. That’s 256 levels of dots and ghosts and dots and some fruit and did I mention dots? It took him 6 hours of boredom but he did it. Woohoo 
I would bet that he is now trying to do the same for Ms. Pacman. Go go Billy!!!

Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures is about to be opened to the mere mortals that didn’t have the chance to pre-order it. People that pre-ordered it had the chance to start playing earlier and also had a nice extra added to their account, the most popular being a nice mount.
Tomorrow, the 23th will be the official release of the game. Some people have already started playing it and they say it’s simply fabulous. One of the greatest features in this game is the ability characters have to do finishing moves like cutting heads out 
It is a very good competitor to World of Warcraft. More than 1 million people have pre-ordered the game. Let’s see if it meets the expectations

Michael Donnelly, the creator of Glider, a World of Warcraft ‘bot’ application, is being sued by Blizzard.
This software allows users to be away from the computer while the software plays the game for them. It is quite useful when doing all the boring bits in the game, like grinding for gold or other resources. But it is illegal. Glider is against the Terms of Service as provided by Blizzard for World of Warcraft, so you can try it at your own risk. And yes I can provide you with the link to their website

Nekokabu, a programmer, has been working on a software to allow the backup of dual layered Wii discs. Nekokabu has exemplified the procedure on the game Super Smash Bros.Brawl which seems to work as expected. There were some video clips on YouTube with the test but they were removed.
The Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences has announced the 11th Annual Interactive Achievement Awards Finalists, with BioShock getting 12 nominations including the Overall Game of the Year.

Another post that made me wonder how can someone kill another human being because of some online dispute. A 33 year old man was killed by a college student because of some clan rivalry in Lineage II; an online game.
“The killer shows no signs of remorse, and has calmly explained:

That’s just crazy. Oh well, you best not make any enemies in an online game or you may be next.
