Walk for power

8 February 2008

Knee power

“US and Canadian scientists have built a novel device that effortlessly harvests energy from human movements.”
It looks like 1 minute walking provides power to charge a mobile for 30 minutes. That’s impressive. Imagine if you walk for 30 minutes.
Let’s walk and power up your entire gadget collection. Better still, let’s run and stop paying that expensive electricity bill :p

Vista

The long awaited Service Pack 1 for the new Microsoft Operating System is now available as a final release.

I haven’t installed it yet, but I am planning to do so. It will, hopefully, fix some issues performance wise and some bugs as well. If someone has any comments about it please post them here. Maybe there is someone out there with lots to tell about it :)

The Pirate Bay

A Swedish court has read the sentence and The Pirate Bay (a very popular file sharing, torrents web site) owners will now have to pay the amount of €123,000. This seems the end of The Pirate Bay web site, so if you are one of the (illegal) users of it you better start looking for an alternative. . . er . . . I mean . . . Stop using those kind of web sites. Ask for a pay raise and start paying for your stuff ;)
